„Shark Awareness Diver“

New Regional Manager to represent Scuba Diving International™ and Technical Diving International™ in Baltic Region
Maine – June 19, 2008 -- It was announced today that Maxim Vasiljev has been appointed Regional Manager for the Baltic Region of North Eastern Europe for the world’s leading technical diving agency, Technical Diving International™ and its sport diving sister agency, Scuba Diving International™. This announcement comes on the heels of recent expansion for the organization into Hong Kong and the opening of a new Regional Office in Moscow.
“I am very pleased to welcome Maxim to our growing team of regional managers who now represent the Scuba Diving International™(SDI), Technical Diving International™(TDI) and our public safety branch, Emergency Response Diving International™(ERDI) in more than 200 countries and territories through almost 30 Regional Offices,” said Paul Montgomery.
Montgomery, who is director of international business development for International Training, the parent company for SDI, TDI and ERDI and Diving Adventure Magazine, explained that Vasiljev will work his new territory with support from SDI, TDI Germany.
“Maxim has a strong background with us through teaching sport and technical programs for our agency and his enthusiasm and professionalism was apparent from our very first dealings with him,” stated Montgomery. “He will be covering a very large area including Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia offering sales and marketing support and hands-on training assistance for the growing number of members and associate members we have in that part of Europe.
“Horst Dederichs, our Regional Manager in Germany, will offer backup and administrative support for Maxim as he pushes out the SDI and TDI brands for us into this important new market,” Montgomery concluded.

Ist invigorating to have the opportunity to not only stay on in the dive industry but to join the fine management group Brian has assembled at Scuba Diving International (SDI). Im confident that I can be of great service furthering the SDI group towards ist successful goals, stated Ed Christini.
Ed Christinis background is a perfect fit for an organization such as the group of training agencies under the International Training umbrella. Eds background in dive retail combined with his experience in running and growing a recreational training agency and his industry experience serving on Board of Directors from DEMA to the Recreational Scuba Training Council (RSTC) round him out as the type of person that we seek said Fleming Elleboe, International Training's Board Chairman.
The group of agencies was started to serve the technical diving sector of the dive industry as Technical Diving International, the Agency was formed in 1994. The TDI curriculum was developed first and forged the way for the SDI programs that followed and was officially released in 1998, more recently by ERDI in 2000 to serve the needs of public safety divers.

SDI TDI ERDI continues ist growth and solidifies ist market position worldwide
International Training announced today that Vadim Shapovalov will head up the Russian Regional Office for Scuba Diving International (SDI), Technical Diving International (TDI) and Emergency Response Diving International (ERDI), effective immediately.
Shapovalov recently attended the SDI, TDI, ERDI Global Strategic Meeting held in Maine, and met with International Trainings executive team and more than two dozen regional managers from around the world including his new colleagues from Australia, S.E. Asia, Taiwan, Philippines, various European countries, Brazil and South Africa.

We are happy to welcome Vadim to our growing family of regional offices, and very pleased to have a full-service office located in the heart of Russia: in the beautiful and historic city of Moscow.
Paul Montgomery, Director of International Business Development, added: We are very fortunate to have Vadim leading our newest regional office in Russia. I first met Vadim when he participated in an Instructor-Trainer Workshop in 2007 and I was impressed with his abilities as an IT and his grasp of business principals.
Montgomery concluded by explaining that securing strong, on the spot representation in Moscow will have wider-ranging effects than just in the Russian Federation alone. Vadims skills and business acumen will contribute greatly to serving our Russian membership and Russian associate members who are looking for quality training in sport and technical procedures. However, it will also have an effect in areas such as the Red Sea and South Pacific, since Russian divers and instructors travel extensively to these regions.
